The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is an international, multidisciplinary organisation dedicated to promoting evidence-based care, education, research, advocacy, and public policy in transgender health. Its mission is to uphold respect, inclusivity, and the highest standards of healthcare for transgender, transsexual, and gender-nonconforming individuals.

Originally founded as the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association, WPATH was named after Dr. Harry Benjamin (1885–1986), one of the first physicians to work with individuals experiencing gender dysphoria.

WPATH establishes Standards of Care (SOC) that guide health professionals in providing safe, effective, and affirming pathways for individuals seeking gender congruence.
