Andrej Pejic – Elle Serbia Jan 2013

A while ago in a post “what gender are you seen as” I featured a picture of Andrej Pejic then the worlds 18th Top Male Model.  Well he just doesnt go away and keeps on breaking boundaries.

This month he became the first transgender model to be featured as the ‘cover girl’ for Elle magazine! Ok it’s Serbian Elle January Edition (hey Elle is big in Serbia!!  :-))and not the UK.  All the same I think it is a ground breaking achievement and one that could be the start of a change in opinion about transgender people.

Having taken a quick look at the Serbian Elle website and reading the strange translation Google translate provides, Andrej seems to be stating that “Finally the time is coming when there will be no division into male and female. We’ll all be persons.“

So I suppose Andrej most certainly yearns and has looked to the time when we all will simply be seen and treated as people!

Well done Andrej, ok so you have the looks but you still need to live life and that takes strength as many trangender people will understand.
